Your expertise stems from the knowledge, experience, and reflection you have gained. Compared to your board, unless you’re in your first 30 days, you know lots more about your organization. It’s also likely you’ve sat through and thought about board meetings more than anyone else.
You can instruct because you know the places where boards face challenges. You anticipate the intersections, congestions spots, and construction zones ahead. Claim the driving instructor’s seat.
