Why Does Having the Right Strategy Matter?

The other day, after a struggle, I developed a new strategy. A friend commented on how excited I was—on “the lightness in my being” compared to the days before when I was struggling to find one.

Why is strategy–knowing the best path to your vision now, that is how you win, so energizing?

It empowers you to know that you can achieve your goal, allows you to make firm plans, and gives you confidence.

It works like this:

The right strategy

allows you to

Create a plan

that allows you to

Decide what to do today

which allows you to

Set forth on a path of consistent, disciplined action

that allows you to know that you will

reach your goals.

The right strategy convinces you that you can reach the goal–you know how! For example, no matter your goal for your nonprofit—you will need sustainable income. Any strategy your nonprofit develops and adapts must provide a way to generate sustainable income. Not only must it provide it, but before you start seeking it, you want to be convinced that it will work.  Knowing how to get you to your goal provides you energy–and a lightness of being to pursue it.

What to know more about developing a strategy that gives you a lightness of being? Don’t hesitate to reach out.
